" The Light "

A couple of old light fixtures, I have been photographing these light fixtures for a couple of years now and really think these are the best yet. I really like the B&W, but the color is my favorite. The color is so subtle and yet very effective. I hope you like these!!

" Extinguished "

I have photographed this fire extinguisher before and really not satisfied yet, although this is pretty good. It still doesn't look quite abandoned enough for me. I probably could have moved it for better composition, but I try not to move things as it becomes a still life. Hope you enjoy!!

" Switchbox "

The Switchbox was taken also at Cemex. These were the electrical controls for the kin operation. A very unique piece of equipment that was upstairs on the second floor. Hope you enjoy!!

" Two From Cemex "

A couple of new images from the ols abandoned Cemex concrete plant in Rockmart. I have been photographing here for a couple of years. It is very dangerous inside from falling concrete, but well worth the trouble. They usually don't say anything about going inside, but you never know when that will change. Hope you enjoy!!

" Twilight at the Chicken Feed Plant "

Early morning at the Cagle chicken feed plant in Rockmart. We were just killing time before heading to the Cemex concrete plant and decided to get a few shots here. We got run off after only about 4 frames, but I got the shots I wanted anyway. This is one place I have been to 3 times and this is the first time they have said anything, so you never know what they will do. Hope you enjoy my 200th post!!

" Dying "

Just a quick post late on a Friday night. Didn't want to miss a day this week, trying to get back to one post everyday Monday thru Friday. Hope you enjoy this one, I always loved dead sunflowers much more than live ones.

" Water Abstract Pano "

Another abstract, only this time a pano by crop. I really loved the play of light and the sand around the rocks. This was taken on the Chattooga River in North Carolina. Hope you enjoy!!

" Waterfall "

A little bit artsy, fartsy, but I really like it. I don't do a lot of abstract work, but you would be surprised how much thought goes into pulling one of these off. It really becomes more about composition, color, light, shadow and contrast. Hope you enjoy!!

" Shadow Play "

Playing with light has always been fun, here I was at the Masquerade in downtown Atlanta on an early Sunday morning. The concert was over and the place was deserted. The light was fantastic and not only the shadows. Hope you enjoy!!

" Windows "

Good Monday morning!! I had a great weekend with not much to do, almost unheard of these days. These photos were taken on Mothers Day this year, my father passed away last year on my mother's birthday. September 11th, bad day for all. She wanted to go with me to photograph, so we went to an old abandoned house near her home. What a wonderful day we had, she really enjoyed seeing how I work. Hope you enjoy these!!

" The Stall "

Just a uniquely lit barn stall near my home. Looked good in color, but better in B&W. Hope you enjoy!!

" Monday Morning "

I am recovering from the hustle and bustle of trying to get everything together for my opening in Carrollton last Friday night. Things went extremely well, we had about 200 folks come out for support. No sales yet, but this market is brutal.

Tons of positive comments and praise for my work. I had a lot of new photos in this show, including some new people photography. That is my real passion, along with my abandoned stuff. Hope to be working again this week, it has been about 3 weeks since I got to do anything personally. Hope you enjoy!!

Mike at Bob's Place

This is one of my closest friends, Mike Feagans at Bob's Place in Sunset, SC. He is the one who puts me up while I am shooting in South and North Carolina. Mike and I have known each other for 44 years, since elementary school. Just a huge thank you for putting up with me the last 2 times I came up. Oh and by the way the real thanks go out to his wife Marylou for putting up with both of us while I am there.
