A couple weeks ago while the weather was still cold and warm at the same time I shot these photos. I had been watching the well and barn occasionally on the way to a friends house. I had planned to shoot them sometime and when I woke up one morning and it was this foggy, I thought today is the day. All in all they turned out really good. You don't get this kind of fog very often. Hope you enjoy!!

" Survivor "
The survivor was shot on Paulding Forest WMA at Bluffy Creek. This little plant has survived many winters and floods as you can see. These grasses live all along the creek bank and endure high water, winter and always come back every spring. Nothing especially pretty about them, but the lone green in a sea of brown and gray. Hope you enjoy!!

" Tracks "
Good Monday morning, hope everyone had a great weekend. I got to photograph two days this weekend and have some great stuff to post in the future. This photo was made about a week ago on a wildflower trip, sadly no flowers to shoot. This is a raccoon track at Bluffy creek, lots of theirs and deer everywhere. I have been here for about three years and I still love this area. It is on Hulseytown Road in Paulding county in Dallas, GA. Try to visit if you get a chance. Hope you enjoy!!

" Bluffy Creek HDR "
I have been photographing here for three years. This is the first landscape I have been happy with. I did an HDR early morning and it finally looks pretty good. It only takes about 15 minutes to get here from home, so it is very convenient. It is in Paulding Forest WMA. It is always nice to be close to home. Hope you enjoy!!

" Moonset "
What a moonset. This was last week before a shoot I did on Paulding Forest. We were on our way and being a little early decided to look for a place to shoot the setting full moon. After driving around for about 15 minutes we spotted this field. Turned out pretty good for just killing time. Hope you enjoy!!

" Affordable Gas "
This reminds me when you could fill up for about $8.00, wouldn't that be nice. I have photographed this old store numerous times and I'm still not happy with the images. Still all in all they are OK.
Headed to The Pocket Wildflower Preserve today, hope to have some really nice flowers for tomorrow. Not sure if we may be too early, but we won't know without going. It is in N.W. Georgia near Lafayette, GA, you can Google it and get directions. Hope you enjoy!!

" Farm Morning "
Early morning at a farm in Taylorsville, GA. I actually shot this to paint a watercolor from, but it was so pretty I decided to go aheasd and post on the blog. I had shot this before from another angle last year, but wasn't happy with it. This shot is much better. Hope you enjoy!!
If I ever paint it I will try to post a shot of it. I am a very rank amatuer in the watercolor field.

" Homeplace "
Just another old homeplace I found out and about. Always on the lookout for anything and everything. This home was on the way to the Summerville Junkyard, I stopped on the way back. What a cool place, the red chair from yesterday was also from here. The top image is an HDR shot with a tripod, the bed was just a straight tripod shot. Hope you enjoy!!

" Lunch at Summervilles "
Lunchtime at Summervilles Junkyard. These images were made on my second trip to the junkyard in Aragon, GA. The top photo is Marlin Jones, a retired railroad worker who just comes by to visit and hang out with all the guys. The bottom is one of the men who help run the day to day process at the yard. Everyone I met was great and some of the most friendly people I have ever met. Thanks to everyone who welcomed me. Hope you enjoy!!

" The Beauty of Junk "
Junk, what a strange word. Most peoplr think of something ugly and rusted, I think of something rusted and beautiful. This is one of the really fun things to do in photography, just run around a junkyard photographing junk cars. Some very cool and unique textures and colors can be found throughout. Never hesitate when given the chance to roam around in a junkyard or when you find old cars anywhere. The possibilities are endless and this is one time harsh midday light is OK. Hope you enjoy!!
