" Water Abstract Pano "

Another abstract, only this time a pano by crop. I really loved the play of light and the sand around the rocks. This was taken on the Chattooga River in North Carolina. Hope you enjoy!!

" Waterfall "

A little bit artsy, fartsy, but I really like it. I don't do a lot of abstract work, but you would be surprised how much thought goes into pulling one of these off. It really becomes more about composition, color, light, shadow and contrast. Hope you enjoy!!

Well, I had a pretty good day at the 19th Annual Paulding Fine Arts Competition. Above are my 3 entries. Top "No Trespassing" won third place in Photography, middle " Water Abstract " won first place Photography, and the bottom " Quarter Wins " won Best of Show. I was very proud of my images, they are all new and never printed before. I really hope you enjoy them as much as our judges did. We had a great turnout with categories, Oil & Acrylic, Watercolor & Tempura, Dimensional & Mixed Media, Drawing and Photography. Thanks for checking my blog.

" Monday Morning Abstract "

Just a shot I did last week while driving around Taylorsville, GA. Had a great time, but I forgot my tripod so had to shoot handheld all morning. I actually had to wait a while to shoot because of it. Learned a valuable lesson, pay attention when you pack. Hope you enjoy!!

" The Beauty of Junk "

Junk, what a strange word. Most peoplr think of something ugly and rusted, I think of something rusted and beautiful. This is one of the really fun things to do in photography, just run around a junkyard photographing junk cars. Some very cool and unique textures and colors can be found throughout. Never hesitate when given the chance to roam around in a junkyard or when you find old cars anywhere. The possibilities are endless and this is one time harsh midday light is OK. Hope you enjoy!!
